Responsibilities

  • Manage full sets of accounts independently, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform daily accounting operations including vendor payments and client billing.
  • Monitor monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities.
  • Review reconciliations, adjustments, and ensure timely follow ups.
  • Implement new accounting requirements and advise on complex accounting entries.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports in required formats.
  • Review the company’s Annual Report for accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretary to meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle corporate tax, SST, WHT, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional business and tax regulations.
  • Stay organized and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction/manufacturing related industry.
  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • Strong command of English
  • Multilingual candidates, especially those proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese, will have an added advantage due to the communication needs of the role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, SQL, or equivalents.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting and Malaysian tax regulations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data management).
  • Detail oriented, reliable, analytical, and able to work independently.
