Create an Indoor Forest!

In our current busy city life, it is easy to lose connection with nature. We go on these long-anticipated vacations when we finally get to slow down and appreciate the beauty of nature. But when we are back, inevitably, we will still be spending more time indoors than out. In that case, how can we bring a little of this vacation magic back with us?

Although it may be a little difficult to bring back the mountains and lakes, here are some other elements you can create!

Fresh Air
No need for a sophisticated air purifier, just bring in some plants indoors! Here’s a list of houseplants for a relaxing breath of fresh air!

  1. Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) – easy to grow and very adaptable! One of the best air purifier to have listed in the NASA Clean Air Study.
  2. Heartleaf Philodendron(Philodendron hederaceum) – a great plant to have if you have little time to care for a plant!
  3. Chinese Evergreens (Aglaonema) – filtering out a variety of air pollutants and helping you reduce the amount of dust indoors.
  4. Boston Fern (Nephorolepsis exaltata) – This popular fern removes major pollutants like formaldehyde and xylene found in paints or synthetic fabrics.
Pssst! All these plants are suitable to grow on a green wall!

Vertical Jungle Look

Forests are huge, but often, the spaces we live in are too small to recreate a similar experience. Luckily, we have a solution for that which is our HygroWall. Have a vertical jungle instead! Here are some elements to incorporate into your green wall to achieve the tropical forest look:

1. Lush & lavish foilage

Different textures with big and small leafed plants. Different shades of greens. Ferns!

2. Vibrant Colours

Include some plants with bright colours because in the nature, they attract birds!

With enough height, it creates a magnificent piece of art in the space. Mimicking the height of the trees in the wild.

Moss Wall
Moss thrives in humid conditions like in those of the tropical forests, so having a moss wall is another method to mimic the habitat of the forests!
Our wide variety of  Hygro™Moss selections allows you to create the look you want:
Flat Moss
Acts like the grass in landscape, sets a good background for other types of moss or accent elements.

Pole Moss
Add a cluster of pole moss that mimics hills in landscapes to give a dynamic effect to your moss canvas.

Reindeer Moss
A moss with shrubby structure that gives a soft aesthetic and an excellent acoustic material.

Artificial Moss
An imitation of the natural moss on the forest floor moulded & crafted by hand for natural contours.

Ever-Changing Decor
Unlike most decorations, with a living wall you will be able to witness the ever-changing landscape of your space. Albeit not a completely different look each day, after a period of time, there will be a noticeable difference.

It is never static! Growing everyday just like we do.
